Julianna Waters and Barry Crannell are Heart & Hammer…and we’re not youngsters. We’re seasoned songwriters who pull the audience into a quirky world with rich lyrics, engaging musicality, honest emotion and ribald humor. We combine original music with tasteful, re-worked cover tunes like Stephen Foster’s “Oh Susanna,” and Tom Petty’s “Face in the Crowd.”

Tom May has been an important part of the North American folk music scene for four decades, and continues to perform and organize events, including Winterfolk, the annual benefit concert for Transition Projects in Portland. Tom is also the founder and host of the nationally-syndicated live radio program, River City Folk. The people who hear Tom are captivated by his unforgettable voice, evocative melodies, the history and romance in his songs,and a warmth that gives his performance a degree of musicality and professionalism unsurpassed in acoustic music.
Did you know? PFS also offers fun classes at Southmin! Song circles on the 3rd Sunday of every month at 1:30 pm. Songwriting and ukulele classes by Avery Hill, Thursdays, and Saturdays. NEW Children’s concerts are on the 3rd Saturday of each month too.
