This is the time of year when the Southminster Presbyterian Church Foundation casts its net for people to serve. For just 3-4 hours per month you could join us in one of the most pleasant and satisfying activities in our church community.
If you are a member of the church, then you are already a member of the Foundation. Become active and help us to help people throughout Washington County and the greater Portland Metro area.
We need people to fill the following positions:
Board Members:
Guide the spiritual, financial, and business decisions of the foundation. Attend a one-hour meeting once a month for 10 months. Serve on one of the following committees: Grants, Legal, Nominating, Financial or Promotions. Estimated commitment is about four hours per month. A Board term is three years, beginning in February 2013. You must be a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church. We are specifically seeking people who have one or more of the following skills or experiences: financial skills, secretarial skills, promotional skills and/or non-profit board experience.
Grant Committee and Promotions Committee Members:
The Grant Committee makes decisions about community grants: how much, to whom, and when. The Promotions Committee manages promotional content and activities. Estimated commitment is about a two hour a month commitment.
